How to Model Justice, and to Do the Right Thing

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8, NKJV

How does America move forward on the issue of race and social justice? And what informs our actions now, as we move into a new era in America and on our planet? Recently our own Elder Oscar Owens, Director of West Angeles’ Bible College and Christian Education Department, was asked by Azuza Pacific University to discuss the implications of Micah 6:8 on this topic.

In the video below, Elder Owens urges us to examine “the issues that divide us as a people”, including the origins of racism: even in the church.  He also asks us to question how we, as followers of Christ, can reflect change on our college campuses and across our world today

As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s passing, watch the video below, and join the discussion on Social Media:

Azusa Pacific University, one of the largest Christian universities in the nation today, is a community of disciples and scholars preparing to impact the world for Christ.  It began on March 3, 1899, when a group of men and women passionate about creating a place for Christian education gathered to form the Training School for Christian Workers. APU has more than 200 online and on-campus programs.  Its Vision 2022 is grounded in the following vision statement: APU will be a premier Christian university and a recognized leader in higher education, a city on a hill that reflects the life of Christ and shines the light of Truth.
