Our  First Lady Mae Lawrence Blake is a phenomenal woman of God. She is the loving, devoted wife of the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr., and the founder of the West Angeles Women Affairs Organization. She  is also author of several books.

Under Lady Mae’s direction, the Women Affairs Organization sponsors and coordinates numerous dynamic activities for the women of the church.  Many of these activities contribute to the beautification of West Angeles as a church, and to the heart of the total woman (not excluding the men, of course!).

Each year, the ladies of West Angeles are treated to an awesome event –  fittingly titled, “A Day in May with Lady Mae” – in which the First Lady gives her annual encouraging message to the Body of Christ. Lady Mae’s message is always timely; sprinkled with living examples of faith, and pearls of wisdom delivered in a simple, yet humorous and entertaining format. This highly anticipated event inspires women to allow God to move through their work, their homes and families, and their communities.

Lady Mae is a gracious example of God’s gift in the earth and to West Angeles! Together,  Bishop and Lady Mae  have three children and eight grandchildren.
