West Angeles COGIC’s Service Auxiliaries serve the Pastors, the congregation and the public at every worship service, and at scheduled church events. We are often the first face the public sees, and our role in providing the love and light of Christ is an integral as the public persona of our church.
Our duties are many, from greeting all with love and a friendly smile, to assisting with the flow of services and collections. We distribute bulletins, we seat the congregation, we ensure that everyone is able to worship in comfort.
There are many ways to serve at West Angeles, including:
The Bible’s references to service are many, as service and love are at the basis of our faith in Jesus Christ’s mandates to those who love Him:
Matthew 20:27-28
“…whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
1 Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Romans 12:9-13
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Join us in ministry. Serve unto the Lord with West Angeles’ Service Auxiliaries.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
Each year, the West Angeles World Missions Organization travels worldwide to do God’s work, and we would love for you to join us! Our missions teams travel annually to minister in locations such as Brazil, Panama, Haiti, Israel, and in several countries on the African continent. Through the visionary leadership of Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr. and Deacon Jon A. Randall, West Angeles’ World Missions Organization brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are in darkness around the world.
Today, there are more than 6,000 unreached cultures around the world. These are peoples among whom there is no indigenous community of believing Christians. They lack the adequate numbers and resources to evangelize to those around them. It is our intent to work with a heart of cultural sensitivity to better serve others, to demolish the racial and ethnic barriers that divide the church, and to promote unity in the building of the body of Christ.
We also provide food, medical assistance, clothing, school supplies, building assistance, and other basic needs of daily life.

“The C.R.E.W.” – “Creating Righteous Effective Worshipers” – is the young adult ministry of West Angeles COGIC. The C.R.E.W. positions itself to promote spiritual and intellectual growth of all people while bridging the gap between generations. We also promote interaction with the various facets of West Angeles Church. Our vision is that all young adults value their spiritual connections with God, love Him, and love the church.
God wants the best for all of His people but He also requires us to learn about Him and love Him. Well, we’ve found out that the more you learn about Him, the more able you are to love Him. The Young Adult Ministry promotes learning about ourselves as we learn more about God. We are about unity and building each other up mentally, spiritually, and physically. The Young Adult Ministry is about improvement and personal development in the knowledge that God makes available to us.
Don’t you want to be better? Don’t you want to move to higher levels? Well, every week we are taking the mind-cuffs off, and exploring the Word of God as it relates to us. It is in the Holy scriptures that we understand that God has a purpose for each of us.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” – Jeremiah 29 :11
People, God thinks peaceful thoughts of us, and He wants us to be a part of His hopeful future. We are creative! We love Jesus Christ! We are The C.R.E.W., and we are West Angeles.

West Angeles’ Youth Ministry – otherwise known as “The W.A.Y.,” taken from Jesus’ description of himself as being “The Way, The Truth, and The Life (John 14:16)” – is a place that leads middle and high school students to Christ, while empowering them to live a transforming and contagious life worthy of the Kingdom. We are “light set upon a hill,” beacons shining brightly, pointing the way to eternal life, hence our purpose:
“Reflecting the light of Christ while leaving our mark on a dark world.”
Directed by Minister Donnie Briggs, our ministry impacts youth through:
